Dobson: The Philadelphia publisher, Thomas Dobson published his Encyclopeadia from (1790 to 1798). Dobson's Encyclopeadia was one of the first American illustrated sets of volumes of its kind. The engraved plates mainly dealt with science, natural history and the useful arts of the day.
The Print Club of Cleveland: Founded in 1919, the Print Club of Cleveland was one of the first American organizations formed to promote original printmaking. During its long life it annually commissioned at least one original lithograph or etching from a major artist. Besides Takal, such masters as Henri Matisse and Mark Tobey contributed original prints to the club.
