Note:	Carl John Zimmerman 'Carl Zimmerman': A twentieth century American painter and muralist, Carl John Zimmerman studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, the Cincinnati Art Academy and in Paris, under William Forsyth. During his career ,Zimmerman participated in major exhibitions in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago and St. Louis. His murals include work at the Cathedral of St. Monica, Cincinnati, Saints Peter and Paul's Church, Norwood, Ohio, and at the Cincinnati Club. Carl Zimmerman was also a leading Professor at the Cincinnati Art Academy from approximately 1940 to 1960.
Provenance:	This original watercolour was in the artist's estate and sold several years after his death. In its lower margin Grey Day -- MT. Desert bears both the official Carl Zimmerman estate stamp and the inventory number.

In excellent condition throughout without a trace of fading or toning. This original watercolour represents a prime example of the landscape art of Carl John Zimmerman 'Carl Zimmerman'.
