Robert Yucikas’s original lithograph, Untitled Abstract,
was created in New York in 1979 and is very much a part of the famous
abstract expressionist movement of that period. Combining bold forms,
patterns and colors the New York abstract artists of this era were at
the forefront of contemporary trends. Untitled Abstract, most particularly
with its introduction of a strident green rectangle, explores the manner
in which our emotions are controlled by shape and color. |
