James Tormey: Born in Manhattan, James Tormey studied
art at the Art Students League of New York, the Pratt Institute and at
Columbia University. Both a painter and an original printmaker, Tormey's
art has concentrated almost exclusively upon still life studies. Since
he began exhibiting his art (c. 1965), Tormey's still lifes have been
included in major exhibitions throughout the United States, Europe and
Japan. |

Many international institutions include James Tormey's art
in their permanent collections. These include, The Metropolitan Club,
Chicago, General Mills Corporation, Minnesota, Ansor Corporation, Madrid,
Spain, and the Superior Court Art Trust in Washington, DC. This original
