Randall Timmons: A modern American abstract artist, Randall Timmons received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Memphis Academy of Arts in 1969 and his Master of Fine Arts from Syracuse University, New York, in 1971. His paintings and prints have been included in group exhibitions in Houston, Little Rock, Tulsa, Memphis, Utica, Tulsa, Syracuse, New York City and Paris, France. His art has also been the subject of one man shows in Jackson, Mississippi, Manchester, Connecticut, Paducah, Kentucky and Memphis, Tennessee. |

Randall Simmons has taught art techniques at such institutions as the Memphis Academy of Arts, the Arkansas Art Center and at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His art is today included in the permanent collections of the Arkansas Art Center, Little Rock, and at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. |

This original lithograph by the abstract American artist, Randall Timmons, dates from 1981. To the lower left he has written, "SPI #1". Perhaps this stands for ‘Special Proof Impression #1’. Two small spots of light brown watercolor are apparent to the lower left center, yet everything else seems to be printed in colors. |

Condition: |
Printed upon pure rag paper and with full, bevelled margins as printed in 1981. Containing a very slight crease mark in the upper left corner and the aforementioned two watercolor spots, else this is a finely printed lithograph and in very good condition throughout. Pencil signed, dated and annotated, “SPI #1” by the artist along the lower margin. This large and possibly unique lithograph represents a fine, original example of the abstract art of Randall Timmons. |
