Note:	Benedict Soltys 'Ben Soltys': Born in Cleveland, Benedict Soltys received his artistic training there. During the Second World War he served as a sergeant in the United States Army (map making division) and saw action in both North Africa and Italy. In both the North African and Italian campaigns he was under the command of General Dwight David Eisenhower.
	After the war, Ben Soltys gained employment as a lithographer for Diamond International in Erie, Pennsylvania. During this period he exhibited his art in Cleveland, New York and elsewhere. Some of his pastels and watercolors were exhibited at the Associated American Artists Gallery, Manhattan.
