Note:	Luigi Olivetti: An Italian painter, watercolorist and etcher, Luigi Olivetti is known primarily for his landscapes and genre scenes. In his etched art Olivetti created views of Capri, Turin and Rome. He also created a number of etchings dealing with genre scenes and figure studies, the majority including attractive, young women. His art was exhibited in Rome, Florence and Turin.
	Luigi Olivetti usually did not number his etchings in specified editions. Those that are numbered, however, are in editions of twenty or less. In all probability Peasant Girl exists in only a handful of impressions.

Condition:	Printed upon thick, wove paper and with wide, full margins as created in Rome around 1910. Signed in the plate to the lower left and signed in pencil within the lower margin. A finely printed, tonal impression and in excellent condition throughout. Peasant Girl represents a prime, original example of the early twentieth century Italian art of Luigi Olivetti.
