Terence Millington's original aquatint engraving, Calendar was created in 1976. This impression is signed in pencil, dated, titled and numbered by the artist. It dates from the first decade of Millington's artistic career and masterfully delineates the two fields for which he has become famous; still life and landscape. Created in the demanding tonal medium of the aquatint, Calendar is a superb examination of the relationships which develop between image, form and pattern. An impression of Calendar is also in the Tate Gallery collection and forms part of a portfolio entitled 'For Constable' and which was exhibited alongside a major Constable exhibition of the 70's. It is a fine, original example of the contemporary art created by the British artist, Terence Millington. |
