seized power and he escaped the country. He then completed his art education
in London, Australia, San Francisco and New York. Before settling in America,
Kamil Kubik worked as a set designer in Australia, primarily in Sydney
and Canberra. Now a resident of New York, Kubik has established a wide
reputation for both his still life compositions and his street scenes and
cityscapes. |
|
Today the fine art of Kamil Kubik is included in the private
collections of President and Mrs. George Bush, Mayor and Mrs. Rudolph Giuliani,
Prince Rainer of Monaco, HRH Queen Elizabeth II, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Scribner. In 1997 the artist was awarded the prestigious Ellis Island Medal
of Honor. |
|
In "Wall Street", Kubik depicts perhaps Manhattan's most
famous landmark from the proximity of the corner of William and Wall Streets.
