Note:	Al Krnc: An American printmaker and painter, Al Krnc began his career during the Second World War as a commercial printer and artist for Continental Litho. Much of his work for this company was in the field of movie posters. He also served in the American military and was discharged in 1945. Krnc then returned to Continental Litho and throughout the following years also received many commercial commissions for his original watercolors. K mart was obviously one such commission and was probably created in the 1960's.
	In 1979 Al Krnc retired from commercial art to dedicate himself to the fine arts. In this regard, his formal training has included classes at the Cleveland School of Art and individual lessons in watercolor under such artists as Lowell Ellsworth Smith and Charles Reid. Krnc has since taught workshops in watercolor techniques in Wyoming, New Mexico, Colorado and in Italy. He has also served as a teacher at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Orange Art Center.
	Al Krnc is Past President of the Hudson Society of Artists, a charter member of the Ohio Watercolor Society and an associate member of the American Watercolor Society and the Whiskey Painters of America.
