Andre Krafft's original watercolor, "The Bridges of the Seine from Notre Dame", provides a bird's eye view of the heart of Paris. Situated on the Ile de la Cite, Krafft's watercolour from the heights of Notre Dame depicts five of the city's more than thirty bridges. This original watercolour is signed "A Krafft" to the lower left, drawn upon thick, wove paper and contains its full margins as created by the artist around 1950. "The Bridges of the Seine from Notre Dame" is a fine, example of the landscape art created by the 20th century French painter, Andre Krafft.

Note:	Andre Krafft: A French twentieth century painter Andre Krafft studied art techniques in Paris. He began exhibiting his art there in the 1930's. At the end of the Second World War (1945), Andre Krafft concentrated almost exclusively on scenes of Paris and its environs, in both oil and watercolor.
	The drawings and paintings of Andre Krafft depict both popular Paris landmarks and less familiar views. His art is marked by a fine sense of coloration and his unique, stylized representations of figure and form.

Condition:	Drawn upon thick, wove paper and containing its full margins. Signed "A Krafft" by the artist to the lower left. Some water staining is discernible, but only in the outer margins and not within the actual watercolor. Else in very good condition throughout with no fading or discoloration. "The Bridges of the Seine from Notre Dame" represents a fine, original example of the Paris art of Andre Krafft.
