Note:	Painted on early fifteenth century vellum and with full margins. Contains twenty-one lines in round Gothic textura quadrata script in black ink with several lines in red clay. Prominent capital letters on both sides are set within yellow coloured frameworks. With one large decorative initial in red with elaborate illumination in blue encompassing the length of the leaf. This spectacular initial indicates why early Italian leaves are so highly coveted.

Condition:	There is slight rubbing to the margins of the vellum on both sides, as usual. On the verso side (line two) the word 'auxiliatus' appears in succession. The first 'auxiliatus' has been partly scratched out. Else, it is in superb condition throughout with strong, unfaded lettering and colouring. This original, early 15th century Epistolary represents the art of Italian Renaissance illumination at its finest.
