John Hogan's "Council of The Moon" is an original woodcut created by the American artist in 1972. It combines overlaying patterns of colours -- including a luminous silver -- to create a haunting image of light, shadow and reflection. It is a fine, original example of the South Western American art by this artist. This original impression of "Council of The Moon" is printed upon fine mulberry paper and with wide, full margins and is signed, dated, titled and numbered '38/50' in pencil by John Hogan along the lower margin. |

"Council of the Moon" combines overlaying patterns of colours -- including a luminous silver -- to create a haunting image of light, shadow and reflection. It represents one of the most complex modern woodcuts I have seen and it clearly originates from the hand of a gifted artist. | |
