Brigitta Heyduck: Born in Breslau, Brigitta
Heyduck moved to the Nuremberg region in 1950. From 1955 to 1961 she
studied at Nuremberg's Academy of Fine Arts and was the master student
of Professor Hermann Wilhelm. During this period Heyduck also received
a scholarship to study under Oskar Kokoschka at the Schule des Sehens
(1958-1959). |

In 1961 Brigitta Heyduck received a cultural advancement
award from the city of Nuremberg (Kultforderpreis der Stadt Nurnberg).
Two years later she created her own lithographic and etching studio and
workshop in that city. Brigitta Heyduck joined the artist's association, "Der
Kreis", in 1965, and is also a member of the artist guild of Esslingen.
She received the Silesian Cultural Award in 1982 and was appointed to
Nuremberg's expert advisory council in 1987. |

Since 1960 the landscape art Brigitta Heyduck has been
the subject of solo exhibitions in such cities as Nuremberg, Rostock,
Bonn, Munich, Berlin, Wiesbaden, Erlangen, Zirndorf, Cologne, Luxembourg,
Athens, Johannesburg and Cape Town. |

Village in Yugoslavia was probably published by Heyduck herself as in 1963 she opened her own lithographic and etching studio in Nuremberg. Landscape has been Brigitta Heyduck's primary interest throughout her career. The artist has travelled to and depicted scenes in Italy, France, Asia, Africa, America and elsewhere. |

Printed upon archival paper and with full margins as published
in 1964. Signed, dated and numbered, '25/70', by the artist in pencil
along the lower margin. Containing several small, diagonal creases in
the lower right corner, else this is a fine impression without a trace
of light toning or fading. Village in Yugoslavia represents an impressive,
original example of the contemporary landscape art of Brigitta Heyduck. |
