Susan Hall's original lithograph, "Glove Display" is printed upon fine, hand-made, laid paper bearing a 'K' watermark and with large, full margins as published by Brooke Alexander in 1973. It is signed, titled, numbered and dated by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. This original impression has been hand-coloured with watercolor and then given a specific number, 'AP #08' which means it is the eighth Artist Proof impression and a unique work of art. In this delightful compostion, Susan Hall depicts an assortment of gloves in a shop display. "Glove Display" is a fine, original example of the art created by the American artist, Susan Hall.

Note: Susan Hall: A contemporary painter and etcher, Susan Hall studied art at the California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, (B.F.A., 1965) and at the University of California, Berkley (M.A., 1967). Her first solo exhibition took place in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1967. Since that time her art has been included in major exhibitions in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Santa Barbara and Indianapolis.
  From 1981 to 1992 Susan Hall was on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts, New York City. She has also been a visiting artist and teacher at the University of Texas, San Antonio, the San Francisco Art Institute, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the University of California. During her career she has received two National Endowment for the Arts awards and fellowships from the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation. Her fine etchings are today included in such major collections as the Whitney Museum, New York, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Brooklyn Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Art. Susan Hall currently resides in Point Reyes Station, California, where she continues her career as a leading painter and printmaker.

Thus, Glove Display is marked 'AP #08' -- meaning the eighth Artist Proof impression. Because of the work involved with each impression each of her prints is clearly a unique work of art.
