Note: | Kenneth Dierck: Individuals familiar with contemporary American tile design and ceramics will recognize the name of Kenneth Dierck. For the past twenty years his art in these fields has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Most recently Kenneth Dierck's ceramic art was shown at the prestigious Mingei International Museum, San Diego, in a 1997 exhibition entitled, "Contemporary American Craft". * (1996-1997: Contemporary American Craft"). |
At the beginning of his career (c. 1970), Kenneth Dierck created a number of original prints in the media of lithography and silk-screen. As one can see in an original silk-screen such as Man and Woman, his talent of bringing forth strong compositional elements was dominant before he turned to ceramic and tile design. Man and Woman was both created and printed by the artist in a small limited edition of five impressions. | |

Condition: | Printed upon wove paper and with full margins. Signed, titled and numbered, 'Ed. 5', by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. The image contains several very slight scrape marks, else a brilliant full colour impression and in very good condition throughout. This original silk-screen represents a fine example of modern American art. |
