Note:	No information has yet been found on the work of this artist. This does not necessarily mean that the artist was and is unknown. Either the signature of the artist is illegible (and I have misread it) or the artist chose not to enter exhibitions or consign to major galleries. Most likely, because this is a modern work of art, proper documentation has yet to be compiled. It is, however, a striking work of original art and is offered for sale for this reason.
	The artist was probably a Parisian and judging from the fine quality Arches paper on which this aquatint is printed, he was probably a professional. Because of its difficult, multiple printings, the creation of colour aquatints and etchings is rarely within the domain of the amateur artist. Particularly within its finely crafted range of colouration and tonal values it is unlikely that Notre Dame from the Seine was created by anyone but an accomplished etcher.

Condition:	Printed upon hand-made, laid paper with the Arches watermark and with full margins as published around 1950. Signed by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. A beautifully printed, full colour impression and in excellent condition throughout.
