Daniel Dallmann: A major American contemporary
artist, Daniel Dallmann is today recognized as one of the leading figurative
and representational artists within the United States. He received his
Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota
(1965) and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa (1969).
Dallmann first exhibited his paintings and original prints in the early
1970's and since that time galleries and institutions have conducted
solo exhibitions of his art in Louisville, KY, Charlotte, NC, Seattle,
Omaha, NE, Miami, Chicago and New York. Examples of Daniel Dallmann's
original art are now housed in such major collections as the Art Institute
of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the National Museum of American
Art, Washington, DC, Yale University, Smith College of Art, Northampton,
MA, AT&T, Chicago, Gallerie Claude Bernard, Paris, France, Citybank,
New York, and Price, Waterhouse, Philadelphia. Recently, the artist has
both lived and worked in Philadelphia and in Russia. |

A master of all graphic forms of art, Daniel Dallmann has
created original prints in the mediums of mezzotint, etching and lithography.
Equally adept at figurative compositions, portraits and landscapes, this
original lithograph represents one of his largest and finest works of graphic
art. |

Printed upon fine, hand-made paper with the Arches watermark
and with full, deckled margins as published in the sole edition of 85 impressions
in 1987. Bearing the publisher's blindstamp in the lower right margin.
Signed, dated and numbered, '25/85' by the artist in pencil
along the lower margin. A finely printed impression and in excellent condition
throughout. "Landscape" represents a superb example of Daniel Dallman’s famous
art. |
