Jack Coughlin's original etching and engraving entitled, Elephant is one of his largest and most compelling works of art depicting the animal kingdom. A continuing element in art is the manner in which he metamorphoses animals and humans to create both provoking and haunting imagery. This impression is printed upon thick, hand-made, laid paper bearing the 'BFK RIVES' watermark and with full deckled margins as published in the limited edition of fifty impressions around 1980. It is signed, titled and numbered by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. Elephant is a fine, original example of the art created by the American artist, Jack Coughlin. |
