Note:	Silvia Mary Lowther Clarke 'Silvia Clarke' was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1947. She settled in London, Ontario and specialized in painting that city's streets and landmarks. Silvia Clarke also painted a number of still life compositions and floral studies. Her art was regularly exhibited in London from 1950 to 1990. Biographical information on the artist is housed at the Library and Archives of the National Gallery of Canada and at the London Public Library.
