Bernard Buffet's lithograph, "Still Life" (Vase with Flowers), is printed upon smooth wove paper and with full margins as published by The Collector's Guild Ltd. of New York around 1970. This impression is signed and dated in the stone by Buffet. The Collector's Guild Ltd., New York published a number of lithographs and etchings by leading contemporary French and American artists. In this original lithograph, Bernard Buffet's handling of colors is brilliant, as his entire composition is in black and white with the exception of the floral arrangement in the vase, containing three orange daisies. Note:	Bernard Buffet: A modern French master of painting, lithography and etching, Bernard Buffet entered the Paris Ecole des Beaux-Arts at the young age of sixteen. He preferred, however, to spend most of his student hours studying the works of Rembrandt, David and Courbet at the Louvre. Buffet exhibited his initial paintings at the Paris Salon at age eighteen. His first original print - a drypoint engraving - was created in 1948. Buffet's first original lithograph dates from 1952 and since that time he dedicated himself almost exclusively to this demanding artistic medium. Buffet's lithographs have for many years been famous throughout the world. His bold and very personal form of expression has placed him among the most sought after and respected contemporary masters of figurative and landscape art.
	During the 1960's and early 1970's The Collector's Guild commissioned and published a number of original lithographs and etchings by leading contemporary artists from around the world. This publisher commissioned Buffet for original lithographs on at least two occasions. This Bernard Buffet lithograph entitled, Still Life was commissioned by The Collector's Guild Ltd. of New York around 1970. In this original lithograph, Bernard Buffet's handling of colors is brilliant, as his entire composition is in black and white with the exception of the floral arrangement in the vase, containing three orange daisies. Still Life (Vase with Flowers) is a striking, original example of the lithographic art created one of France's greatest modern masters, Bernard Buffet.

Condition:	Printed upon smooth wove paper and with full margins as published by The Collector's Guild Ltd. of New York around 1970. Signed and dated in the stone by Buffet. This original lithograph contains matte burning in the outer margins, else it is a strongly printed impression and in excellent condition throughout. Still Life (Vase with Flowers)stands as a prime example of the famous art of Bernard Buffet, one of France's greatest modern masters.
