Frederick Brosen 'Fred Brosen': One of the finest American realist
artists of our time, Frederick Brosen received his BA from City College
of New York and his Master of Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute. Known
equally for his great work in both lithography and watercolour, Frederick Brosen
has had individual exhibitions at such prestigious locations as the National
Academy, the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters, the Hollis
Taggart Galleries and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Also a teacher, Fred Brosen
has instructed at both Dartmouth College and Woodmere Academy. He is presently
the Instructor of Watercolour at the National Academy School of Fine Arts,
New York. |

Frederick Brosen's art is included in the following collections; the
Knoxville Museum of Art, the Hood Museum, New Hampshire, the New York
Historical Society, the Museum of the City of New York and the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, New York. |

Printed upon hand-made, laid paper bearing the 'Arches'
watermark and with full, deckled margins as published in New York in 1992.
Signed, dated and numbered, '69/150' by the artist in pencil along the
lower margin. A finely printed, full colour impression and in excellent condition throughout. This original lithograph represents a superb example
of the famous contemporary art of Fred Brosen, one of America's great
modern masters |
