Vernon Howe Bailey

Vernon Howe Bailey - Antwerpt

Antwerpt

Antwerpt is a fine example of Vernon Howe Bailey's architectural art. Etched from a great height the entire older section of the city with its harbour is depicted. Dominating the composition is of course the Antwerpt Cathedral. With its four hundred foot spire, it is one of the largest and most famous specimens of gothic architecture in Europe.

This original etching is printed upon hand-made, laid paper bearing the 'Rives' watermark. It is signed by Vernon Howe Bailey in pencil
